We’re seen a lot of ‘Parking Fail’ photos over the years, but we can’t recall anything that can come close to what this guy is thinking. Yeah sure, parking is one of the most annoying things drivers have to live through, especially when the lot you’re going around on has parked cars to the brim.
While some drivers are patient enough to wait for a spot to open up, others – or the impatient types – tend to get a little too creative with how to find a parking space. Unfortunately, the drive of this Volkswagen Corrado isn’t the patient type but sure as heck is creative.
The only problem is his supposed ‘creativity’ can also be described as ‘idiocy’. Who in their right mind would park their car underneath a Monster truck – in this case, a monsterized Chevy GMT400? We’re thinking that the options boil down to types: either the ones that are lacking in functioning brain cells or those that have a car that doesn’t exactly come across as compliment-
inviting.
Either way, this is the epitome of ‘Parking Fail’, or just so we can go on a different direction; there’s nothing ‘FTW!’ about this man’s choice of parking space.
Enjoying all kinds of success in 2009, the Hyundai Genesis sedan is being updated for the 2010 model year with available convenience options like Smart Cruise Control, touch-screen navigation and an electronic parking brake with a very convenient automatic vehicle hold. The bargain priced luxury sedan will go on sale starting from $33,800 for the base model 3.8L V6 powered version and
The 3.8 Liter DOHC Lambda V6 engine delivers a maximum output of 290 HP and 264 lb-ft of torque thanks to its Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) system on both the intake and exhaust cam shafts as well as a new Variable Intake System (VIS) that helps the cylinders breathe more efficiently throughout its entire RPM range. The 4.6 Liter Tau V8 engine delivers a maximum of 375 HP and is mated to a ZF built 6 speed automatic transmission complete with SHIFTRONIC manual shift control.
For the 2010 model year, the Genesis comes equipped with intelligent cruise control and an electronic parking brake on Technology Package equipped models, while the Ultra-premium leather seating surfaces come standard on the 3.8 Liter Genesis models with Premium, Premium Navigation, and Technology Packages.
Polyphony Digital has managed to create a trailer that has reminded us just how much we want Gran Turismo 5. As if we needed a reminder. It starts off with a few night shots that slowly start to rev up your engines before the trailer erupts into a series of high speed scenes. The trance music accompanying the trailer makes your heart race as you see images of the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG fly by the screen. Added to the mix are more racing scenes, a crash, and some NASCAR. All I can say is that I want more.
And don’t worry; if you haven’t had a chance to pick up a PS3, there is a quick reminder at the end of the trailer as to how much one costs.
It’s a fair assessment to say that BMW had a pretty good showing at the Geneva Motor Show, but not as good as the mind-blowing display they put out at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Ok, that was entirely attributed to the buzz and hype surrounding the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept car and it would be pretty unfair to expect something like that from BMW at every major car show they attend.
This video, which was compiled by BMW TV, takes us on a quick tour at just about every major event to happen at the BMW booth during the Geneva Motor Show, including a brief introduction and explanation of the technology surrounding the new BMW 5-Series Active Hybrid, and a recap of all the new models BMW has unveiled at the auto show.
French motorcycle accessories producer S2 Concept has created an aftermarket GT kit for the Suzuki Gladius. This addresses to those willing to enhance the touring capabilities of the Japanese naked bike by significantly improving wind protection.
Characterized by aggressive design blending perfectly in with that of the Gladius, the kit is composed mainly from a half-fairing and windscreen, which are mounted using a 3-piece aluminum mount, but you also get a cooler aluminum dash to fit the sport-touring scenario.
S2 also produces other aftermarket Gladius parts such as engine spoiler, undertail, plate holder, screens of various sizes, LED stoplights and integrated signal lights as well as rear fender and many others.
You know those ‘Made in China’ tags that comes with just about every piece of merchandise you buy these days?
Well, now you can add something to that seemingly endless list: a Bugatti - or ’Bugatty’, as its called - Veyron mobile phone.
We’re not kidding; there really is one. Not only that, but it’s got some pretty nifty features too, including a 2.4-inch touch screen, an FM radio, a camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and dual-sim capability.
The downside of this novelty phone – that’s the only way to describe it, really – is that it doesn’t come with any warranty whatsoever and the price tag is pretty steep - $200 for one - relative to what you can get with that same amount of money if you just bought the more tried-and-tested brands.
If userability is what you’re looking for, then you can do better than this Bugatti Veyron phone. But if you’re looking to stand out from the rest of your friends – and you can spare $200 for a phone that probably wouldn’t last a couple of years – then this Bugatti Veyron mobile phone may just be what the doctor ordered.
Ken Block’s 2010 World Rally Championship season at the Rally Mexico got off to an impressive start – that is until, it ended sooner than he and co-pilot Alex Gelsomino would have liked.
Block and Gelsomino ended up crashing out of the race when he shot wide on one of the gravel corners forcing his Rally Ford Fiesta into getting beached at a slightly awkward tilted position. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise impressive race, one where Block was consistently in the top 10 and moving in and out of the top 5 until his slight miscalculation.
Afterwards, Block admitted that the crash was his fault, attributing to a rookie mistake of slightly miscalculating the braking into the tight corner and realizing his blunder just a tad too late. While we’re a little disappointed too, we’re going to give Block a little benefit of the doubt and hope that he puts this ‘rookie mistake’ to good use and doesn’t do it again.
Check out the video and watch how Ken Block’s Rally Mexico race ended prematurely.
As the internet rolls into our cars Ford has decided that safety should follow. Ford announced that it is now offering protection against hackers and viruses with its onslaught of security features which will come standard with any Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicle equipped with SYNC technology. SYNC made its debut in 2008 and gave drivers the capability of hands-free phone operation, media player control, emergency assistance, diagnostic and information services, and traffic reports and directions. The next generation of SYNC technology will also include an in-car WiFi system powered by the car owner’s USB mobile broadband modem. It’s no wonder that with all of these advancements in your car’s connectivity that Ford opted to roll out the safety red carpet and introduce the following safety features:
“Customers are likely to get ‘all the good things as well as the bad things’ that come with Internet connectivity,” said Jim Buczkowski, director of Global Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering (EESE) for Ford Motor Company. “It’s important that we take those lessons learned from the Internet and bring them to the car.”

In short, Hyundai Elantra can be described like this: a cheap, economy car. And if you’re looking for more than this, then you should keep looking. Its true the car is no Genesis, but hopefully Hyundai will do something about it. While not impressive, the 2010 model adds a few changes: improved EPA fuel economy, chrome grille and rear chrome trim and black interior choice. The 2010 Elantra comes in three trim levels: Blue, GLS and SE, with prices ranging from $14,145 to $17,845.
The 2010 Hyundai Elantra is offered only with a 2,0 liter four-cylinder engine that develops a total of 138 hp and 136 lbs-ft of torque. A manual transmission is offered as standard, but a four-speed automatic one comes as an option. Fuel economy is 26 mpg city, and 35 mpg highway.
At the safety chapter, Elatra offers six standard airbags, ESC, Traction Control and Brake Assist, but also a fully independent suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars and motor-driven rack-and-pinion steering.
It’s true – at least for the most part - that just about every car you see being sold on a place like eBay has some kind of story to tell.
The story behind this Nissan 370Z Roadster is a doozy, even for our standards.
Here’s the deal: A well-off man bought this 370Z for a girl he was seriously attracted to and tried to ‘buy’ her affection through a spanking-new Nissan sports car. Problem is, the girl was neither swayed by the gift nor did her feelings for the said young buck change. So she did what any girl would do: she asked her pop to sell the car and that’s why it’s on eBay.
